1989年7月，入职以来一直在大庆油田总医院从事心血管病的临床诊疗和防治研究工作。2003年在大庆市率先开展了心脏康复工作，2012年在美国佐治亚大学做访问学者。

学术任职：中国医师协会高血压专业委员会委员，黑龙江省医师协会高血压专业委员会副主任委员、黑龙江省康复医学会心血管病康复专业委员会委员、大庆市医学会心血管病预防与康复专业委员会副主任委员、中国心脏联盟心血管疾病预防与康复学会黑龙江分联盟常委、黑龙江省医学会临床流行病学专业委员会委员、大庆市医学会心血管内科专业委员会委员。

科研方向：心血管疾病和糖代谢异常流行病学研究。参加并主持世界卫生组织立项的、美国国立卫生院及美国疾病控制中心技术支持的“大庆糖尿病预防研究”。曾参加国家“八五”科技公关项目 “我国多省市心血管病趋势及决定因素的人群监测（MONICA方案）”、“脑卒中、冠心病发病影响因素的进一步研究”，全国第三次高血压流行病学调查， 国家“十五”科技攻关计划重大疾病防治研究子课题“国产降压药治疗高血压对心血管合并症影响的研究”，国家“十一五” 科技支撑计划课题项目“高血压患者早期靶器官损害现况调查及干预治疗”和 “代谢综合征发病趋势及综合控制研究”，全国“百万高血压健康行动”。探索原发性高血压发病机制的研究和2型糖尿病发病机制的研究，肥胖与代谢综合征的组分的关系研究。
